This smiley face belongs to Gina Curva, one of our outstanding volunteers. Two days each week Gina prepares and serves meals to our guests at Loaves & Fishes. Gina came to Tulsa from Manila, Philipines in 1969. She loves people and has a heart to serve. She says, "I want to give something back because I love people."

Jan Schaefer, shown here with her granddaughter, is the wife of our Associate Pastor, Jack Schaefer. Four years ago Jan was diagnosed with hepatitis C. A second test confirmed that diagnosis. At that time we all prayed. Jan's attitude was, "Lord, I;ll do all I can, I ask you to do the rest." In early May of this year she was retested and received a personal letter from her doctor. "Your liver is fine, you have become hepatitis C immune and the hepatitis is no longer active." PTL!

At Loaves & Fishes we desire to move into a new Family Ministry Area. We want to make a difference in our guest families through a "hands on" approach.
We need a "Case Worker" that would walk people through the mine field of delays, disappointments and shortcomings of our local welfare system.
We want to take families under our wing, so to speak, and help them get their lives on track, Spirit, Soul and Body.
Interested in helping? No degree or experience required. Only a smiley face, compassionate heart, and a "we can do it" attitude.

Right now we need:
- Box Truck for food pickup
- Copier
- Sponsors for guest families. We can feed a family of four for a month for $25.
- Volunteer Data Entry - We will train you, very simple but important work. 2-4 hrs per week.
