In recent months, we have experienced a dramatic increase with families needing assistance who speak Spanish only. So we needed some help.

We located a fine family church with outstanding pastors, Hilario and Gizelle Chacon, less than a mile from Loaves & Fishes. When we presented the idea of operating a food outreach at their church with their church staff in charge. They responded, “Absolutely!” (in English, of course!). So now, when a family speaking only Spanish comes our ministry, they receive printed directions to Centro Familiar de Adoracion for groceries, prayer, and encouragement.

Recently, Pastor Hilario reported that even friends of the families they assist are now attending church services regularly because the church was there to help their friends.

God is expanding.  We are searching for a new and larger building or site to build on.  And ideas?

Our building search has led us to a piece of property near 31st and Garnett. The owners are willing to sell it to us for a very reasonable price. However, the land price would pretty much empty our building fund and then we would need to build. This has advantages and disadvantages. Do we really need to or want to put that much energy into building a new building? The truth is we need to hear from the Lord. Would you opray for us? Please agree for God’s wisdom and insight for this project. Thank you.

Teaming up together, the church provided volunteers and Loaves & Fishes provided food and expertise for launching a food outreach. Food For Families became a reality. On the last Saturday of every month, groceries, lunch, and ministry of God’s word are provided for any family.
Recently, Pastor David said, “This is the greatest outreach we have ever had here at the church! The Word of God goes forth, and the church family loves doing it!”

The Food For Families program has had phenomenal success with both the volunteers and the guest families voicing appreciation for the new outreach.

“If you see your brother or sister in need and say, ‘Depart in peace, be warmed and filled, and you don’t give them those things they need, what profit is in that?’ Even so, faith, if it has not works, is and, being alone?” James 2:15-17.

Pamela flows in the prophetic gift with signs and wonders confirming the Word of God preached. Bodies are being healed from various infirmities as well as souls. She is a witness to the miracle-working power of God; not only in her life, but in the lives of others.

A hot meal prepares the heart to hear God’s word.
It is very gratifying to be a servant to people in need. It is indeed an honor when a child comes to Loaves & Fishes and is hungry, and it warms your heart to be able to make a difference.

The workers in our kitchen look at serving meals at Loaves & Fishes as their ministry .. and it truly is!
